NeoVid Converter — Effective 27 August 2026
Summary: NeoVid Converter processes all your media files locally on your device using bundled FFmpeg libraries. We do not upload, stream, or transmit your videos, audio files, or contact data to any server.
NeoVid Converter ("the App") is published by NetsoftTouch ("we", "us", "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at nguyenminhthuanvnn@gmail.com.
If you contact us for customer support, we receive the email address and message content you send. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and assist with your request.
When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically via integrated Google service SDKs to ensure stability, measure non-identifying performance metrics, serve advertisements, and manage in-app subscriptions:
| Data Type | Purpose | Shared / Processed With |
|---|---|---|
| Crash logs & Diagnostics | Monitor app stability, analyze fatal crashes, and diagnose conversion failures. Error messages are strictly redacted so no personal filenames or paths are included. | Google (Firebase Crashlytics) |
| App interactions & Analytics | Measure feature usage, conversion funnel completions/failures, screen navigation, and aggregate performance. Conversion events carry only non-identifying attributes: the kind of conversion, the output format, the number of input files, and the source file’s duration and size as coarse buckets — never a file name, path, or the file itself. When the free daily allowance blocks a conversion, the event also records how many conversions were left and how many rewarded refills had been used that day, so we can tell whether the allowance is set sensibly. | Google (Firebase Analytics) |
| Advertising ID & Ad Metrics | Serve and measure personalized or non-personalized ads (free tier only, subject to user consent). | Google (AdMob) |
| Device & OS Information | Crash diagnostic context (device model, OS version, architecture) and ad delivery. | Google (Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob) |
| Purchase & Subscription Tokens | Verify and manage subscription / Lifetime Pro entitlement. | Google (Google Play Billing) |
The following data is processed exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to us, Google, or any third party:
| Data Type | Purpose | Permission Used |
|---|---|---|
| Media files (Video & Audio) | Locally convert, extract, compress, trim, merge, or adjust speed of files you select. | READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, or system photo/media picker |
| Contacts | Assign a converted audio track as a specific contact's ringtone when requested. A prominent in-app disclosure is displayed before permission is requested. | READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS |
| System Settings | Set a converted audio track as the default phone ringtone, notification sound, or alarm. | WRITE_SETTINGS |
| Daily conversion count | Enforce the free tier’s daily conversion allowance and any rewarded-ad refills. The counter itself lives in the App’s own private storage, is tied to no account, and resets each day. It is never used to identify you. See section 2.2 for the one case in which the number of conversions left is included in an analytics event. | None |
All video and audio processing is performed 100% on-device by local native FFmpeg libraries. No user files, filenames, or folder paths are ever uploaded to any cloud server.
The App integrates Firebase Crashlytics (including native NDK crash handling) to capture application crashes and system errors. Diagnostic reports include stack traces, device state at the time of crash, and high-level non-identifying build keys (e.g. build type, app version, subscription tier). Any error strings originating from conversion tasks are passed through a strict redaction filter before reporting to strip all personal file names, paths, and URIs.
Crash reporting is not switched off by declining ad consent. It carries no advertising identifier and is used only to keep the App working; the crashes that matter most happen in the first seconds of a cold start, before a consent dialog can resolve. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in the security and stability of the App as the legal basis for this processing. You can object to it at any time using the contact address in section 12.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage trends, such as conversion completion rates, screen views, and ad impression revenue. Analytics collection is gated on your consent decision: where a consent dialog is required and you decline, analytics collection is switched off entirely, and where you accept, your finer-grained choices are forwarded to Google as Consent Mode signals (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and analytics storage). You can change the decision at any time from Settings → Privacy Options (Ad Consent). Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for analytics and advertising is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your Advertising ID and device information in accordance with your consent preferences.
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App presents a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (User Messaging Platform / UMP) dialog before any ads are requested or loaded. You can change your consent preferences at any time by navigating to Settings → Privacy Options (Ad Consent).
Ad formats used are banner, interstitial, native, app open, and rewarded. A rewarded ad is only ever shown when you choose to watch one — the App offers it as an option for extra daily conversions, states the reward before the ad plays, and grants that reward only once Google’s ad SDK confirms the ad was watched. Declining costs you nothing and no conversion is deducted.
Subscribers to Monthly Access or Lifetime Pro enjoy an ad-free experience with ad requests and ad-related measurement disabled, and are never offered a rewarded ad.
The App offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions through Google Play Billing. All payment processing and billing transactions are handled exclusively by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details or financial credentials.
We share data only with the third-party providers listed below to support core app functionality:
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data to any third party.
The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The Google services described above (Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob and Google Play Billing) process data on Google infrastructure located outside your country, including in the United States. Google carries out those transfers under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for the United States, the EU–US, UK and Swiss–US Data Privacy Frameworks. Your media files are not transferred anywhere: they never leave your device.
Depending on your location and applicable privacy legislation (such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:
Because the App has no user accounts and we hold no identifier that links a device to a person, we may be unable to locate data about you from an identifier alone; where that is the case we will say so, and will explain what you can clear on the device yourself. Uninstalling the App removes every local file and counter it created.
Do we sell or share your personal information? We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the CCPA/CPRA sense unless you have opted in through the consent dialog. To opt out, decline personalised ads in Settings → Privacy Options (Ad Consent), or upgrade to a paid tier, which disables ad requests and ad measurement entirely. We do not knowingly process the personal information of consumers under 16 for advertising purposes.
Complaints. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
To make an inquiry or exercise your privacy rights, please contact us at nguyenminhthuanvnn@gmail.com. We respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates in our app or regulatory requirements. The effective date at the top indicates when the latest version was published.
