How LogIron handles your training, health and device information.
Summary: LogIron stores your workouts, routines, body measurements and notes only on your own devices. There is no account and no LogIron server. Health Connect and heart rate data are used only to show and record your training, are never sent to us, and are never used for advertising. The free app shows ads from Google AdMob and sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase — only after you opt in if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, and until you opt out elsewhere.
The following is created by you and stored in the app's private database on your phone (and, if you use it, on your paired Wear OS watch). We never receive it.
The routine generator, exercise form guides and the voice coach all run on your device. The voice coach uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech engine.
LogIron does not take part in Android's cloud backup to your Google account, because its database can contain data read from Health Connect. When you move to a new phone with Android's direct device-to-device transfer (cable or Wi-Fi between the two phones), Android copies LogIron's database and settings straight to the new phone; nothing passes through us. To keep a copy elsewhere, use Settings → Data → Create backup, which saves a file to a location you choose.
If you connect LogIron to Health Connect, and only for the permissions you grant, LogIron:
Data read from Health Connect is shown in the app and, where you import it, stored in LogIron's on-device database. It is not sent to NetSoftTouch or any third party, is not used for advertising or analytics, and is not sold. You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect's settings; data LogIron already wrote to Health Connect stays there until you delete it in Health Connect.
The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The app shows banner, native, interstitial, rewarded and app-open ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and information about ad views and clicks. Ad requests never contain your training or health data.
Consent: in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws, LogIron uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your choice before ads are requested. You can change it at any time under Settings → Privacy → Privacy options. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, only limited or non-personalised ads are requested.
Remove ads: after the one-time Remove ads purchase, LogIron makes no ad requests at all.
LogIron sends anonymous usage statistics: which screens are opened, which features are used (for example "workout finished" with counts and rounded durations), app version, device model and operating system, and a few settings-level properties: training goal, experience level, days per week, weight unit, app language, theme, whether ads are removed, whether a program is active, whether Health Connect is connected and whether a heart rate strap is paired. It never includes weights, training volume, heart rate, body data, Health Connect data or any name you type.
Consent before collection, where consent is required. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, usage statistics and crash reports are switched off and collect nothing unless and until you turn on Settings → Privacy → Share usage & crash reports. Answering the advertising consent form does not switch them on — advertising and analytics are separate purposes, and that form covers only advertising. Elsewhere they start enabled and you can turn them off at any time. In every region both are held off when the app starts until your region has been determined, so nothing is collected before that point.
If the app crashes, Crashlytics collects the stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and disk, and the name of the screen that was open. Crash reports contain no training, body or health data.
Crash reporting follows the same single choice as usage statistics, described above.
The Remove ads purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details; the app only learns whether the purchase is active.

The phone and watch apps exchange the current workout, rest timer, set confirmations and heart rate directly through Google Play services' Wearable Data Layer. This data travels only between your own paired devices.
LogIron is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA / CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Most of these are available directly in the app through the controls above; for anything else, contact us. We do not sell personal information.
If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
